Nestled in the bayou, the Meadowick Residence combines modern architecture with a serene, wooded lot to create a fresh and tranquil environment. The immersive nature of the woods creates a secluded, cozy atmosphere that transforms the residence into a private oasis.

Contrasting elements bring texture and harmony to the landscape and display the woods as the centerpiece of this design. The palette of primarily white, flowering shrubs brightens the understory planting, the oak and redbud trees soften the high canopy and stark trunks of the existing pine trees, and the simplicity of the hardscape draws the eye to the woodlands. Every feature of the design casts the woods as the focal point.

The infinity pool sits at the edge of the lawn and looks out on the tree line. At its placement, the light and shadows dance across the surface of the water and creates an intimate setting. The north terraces and master suite patio overlook the property and emphasize a meandering path that winds through the woods that leads to a fire pit positioned in a grove of trees.
