Circle T Ranch is a 2500-acre mixed-use development. This master planned community encompassing corporate campuses, retail, a golf course, and a charter school. It is a unique site due to a few defining features in its landscape: its location in the Eastern Cross Timbers and its landmark pastoral hills dotted with singularly located large oak trees and roaming cattle. Studio Outside was approached by the owner to create a master plan scenario that maximizes its potential build-out but moreover, to do so with a vision that captures the qualities unique to its landscape.
A series of trails and programmed nodes allows for walking, running, and horseback riding through newly created forested areas. Along with land to be developed, the site also included landprivately held by the owner: the Private Ranch Preserve. The owner recognized the strong ranching history to the land in their investment of the ranch preserve and created a brand telling the story of its history. Studio Outside worked with the owner tobuild upon the brand and extend its character into the master plan in order to maintain the rural and ranch character to the site.
