Emilee Voigt is a 4th year student at Kansas State University set to graduate with a Master’s degree in May of 2019. Originally from the suburbs of Kansas City, her love for the outdoors began at a young age. Her overall love and appreciation for the environment, art and human interaction led her to pursue landscape architecture. Classes and studios, like Plant Materials and Planting Design, have inspired her Master’s report of analyzing vacant parcels in densely populated areas of large cities and how plants can be best utilized to create inviting outdoor spaces. In her free time, Emilee enjoys knitting, painting and creating macramé. She loves exploring unknown cities and finding local shops and museums. She has a passion for design and creation and believes that you need a little bit of insanity to do great things.
