Lilian Kao is a third-year undergraduate student at Texas A&M University studying landscape architecture. Lilian passion for landscape architecture stem from an art & design background. She entered university with plans to be a graphic designer and illustrator from there developed an interest in horticulture & landscape design. She is most passionate about the concept of sustainability and low impact development, and believes strongly that both landscape architecture and urban planning are integral in preventing and mitigatingnatural disasters. Having a strong believe that landscape architects are in the position of power to make a change in the world regarding environmental conservation, climate change, and wildlife habitats.

Outside of her studies, she can be found drawing and painting, and staying in with her two cats and snake. She also enjoys the local music and street art scene and likes going to various punk or rock shows around Deep Ellum, and admiring (and even contributing to……)street murals and graffiti.
