Regan O'Brien graduated in 2018 from Arizona State University with a degree in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Sustainability, where she earned an AZ ASLA Honor Award. While at ASU she became passionate (obsession) about studying systems within the urban framework.
She has bike toured through Northern Europe, with the goal of experiencing the streets and canals as bicycle infrastructure systems. During her final year, she analyzed the river system that is responsible for life in Phoenix, questioning the vacancy of the underutilized floodplain. She is very excited to continue learning about these systems at Studio Outside.
Regan is an avid runner, bikepacker, and climber. She believes that to fully comprehend systems within the landscape we must extend beyond urban boundaries to experience the built environment in its context.
