Mann Patel

Landscape Designer

Mann Patel is a landscape designer with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Ohio State University. He was drawn to landscape architecture due to his upbringing in the hospitality business and strives to make spaces where all people are welcome and feel a sense of ownership.

While at OSU, he gained a deeper appreciation and interest in planting design and community building. He sees both as tools to build stronger, lasting designs rather than just accessories or users who come and go as the site grows. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has found a passion for the relationship between landscape architecture and public health and has been researching the benefits landscape architecture has on public health in the many forms it takes.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Mann is excited to gain more context on new ecologies and communities and hopes to apply this knowledge to his future designs. During his free time, you can find him working for a local dance/cultural non-profit with which he has been involved for years or searching for the best hot chicken places around him.
