ROSIE MANZO
—
Project Leader
Rosie Manzo joined Studio Outside in the summer of 2019 as a Landscape Designer and recent graduate of the MLA program at Iowa State University. She grew up in Massachusetts, spending most of her time exploring the woods behind her house, going to the beach, and playing travel softball.
After graduating with a BA in Sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University, Rosie worked as a residential counselor for young adults with mental health challenges before serving two years in AmeriCorps programs in Iowa and on Cape Cod. She became interested in landscape architecture during these programs, gaining a great deal of hands-on experience in land management and natural resource conservation. These experiences helped Rosie realize her passion in both the healing capacity of landscapes and their ability to connect people to each other and themselves.
Outside of work, Rosie can be found going for long walks in the woods, checking out new places to eat and drink, and playing with her puppy.
