Studio Outside is working on three new projects at Epic Central, a 170-acre recreation and entertainment complex in Grand Prairie. The site includes the Epic Recreation Center, Epic Waters Indoor Water Park, The Summit senior center, the Public Safety Building, and PlayGrand Adventures, an adaptive, inclusive playground. Recent additions feature lakefront retail, a hotel and convention center, and a Pickleball Complex.

The retail buildings maximize waterfront views and connect to a new event lawn and pavilion. A two-level structured parking garage provides convenient access to the central boardwalk. The hotel and convention center incorporate a pool, restaurant terrace, and lakefront amenities, while the event lawn provides flexible space for gatherings. A bridge links the Pickleball and restaurant complex to the central lawn, and additional surface parking and arrival improvements enhance visibility. Future plans include a lake water show, establishing the retail area as a regional destination.
