North Texas Ranch

Located north of SMU between Central Expressway and Greenville Avenue, Studio Outside worked with Gensler on the redevelopment plan for Energy Square. The 14-acre site is home to more than 300 tenants and the historic Meadows Building, constructed in 1955. This redevelopment plan provided opportunities to connect the six buildings on site into one campus while paying respect to the site’s historic identity. Site elements, including seat walls, planters, and furnishings, pay homage to the forms and shapes of the 1950’s and 1960’s. A continuous paving design is pulled throughout the site, connecting the buildings, elements, and history of the site.
