Nestled along a charming street in Preston Hollow, this property’s flat site with mature oak trees inspired a series of outdoor spaces for leisure, recreation, and the client’s sculpture collection. The modern home is thoughtfully positioned away from the street for discreet parking, establishing a sophisticated entry sequence. A low entry wall defines a forecourt with a linear water feature and a striking drift of ginkgo trees guiding visitors to the front door. A centerpiece of the design is the steel-slat pergola suspended above the pool, hovering weightlessly over the landscape. This architectural feature anchors the house, frames views of the backyard, and harmonizes the architecture with the surrounding environment.
